Spegelrum by Pål Svensson on Uddenskulptur 2024 2025
Spegelrum (Mirror Room) stands over two metres tall and is made from a single block of Swedish diabase.
The artist has split the stone into several parts, carefully cut and polished some of the surfaces, and then reassembled them into a new form.
What makes this work special is its inner space: one can look inside and observe the mirrored walls, yet not see straight through. Light from the other side — especially the evening sun — is present, but does not pass through.
The sculpture becomes a place of quiet reflection, where solidity and transparency seem to meet.
