UDDEN SKULPTUR

When quarrymen cut stone from the mountain, they leave behind traces — lines of drill holes marking the surface like scars from a powerful, almost violent act.

In her subtle and poetic intervention, artist Hannah Streefkerk set out to “repair” these marks. Using thin red rope, she carefully sewed through the holes, as if mending a wound. Over time, the rope has faded to a pale, indefinite tone — but the gesture remains visible.

A quiet act of care, still present after all these years.
