The Choice by Viktor Korneev on Uddenskulptur 2025 2026
The Choice is a sculptural composition made from Swedish reddish gneiss and Blue Pearl Labradorite from Norway.
It consists of two larger and one smaller form.
One of the large stones resembles a bathtub with tranquil water — its polished surface is smooth and still, with four delicately carved roses floating on it.
The second stone suggests a contrasting state: another bathtub, but this time rippling with waves, full of movement and tension.
The smaller third element is a simple block, draped with a towel, adding a quiet human gesture.
The title raises a subtle question: do we choose stillness or motion, calm or turbulence? The answer, is left to the viewer.
