UDDEN SKULPTUR

Svart Båt (Black Boat) takes its playful inspiration from a classic Swedish candy — the small, black liquorice “boats” shaped like the hull of a fishing vessel.

Here, artist Ulf Johnsson has created a monumental version in solid Swedish diabase.

The sculpture rests quietly in the grass, as if someone had left it behind. Its form is familiar and light-hearted, but the material is heavy and enduring — a tongue-in-cheek transformation of a childhood memory into lasting stone.
