Participating in Uddenskulptur:
Jo’s art is formed by movement and energy.
And this is exactly how he deals with people.
Jo likes being out and about, he is an avid traveller.
How did Goethe put it in his `Wilhelm Meister´: `The best education a clever man finds when travelling´.
And so the artistic and human experiences he has had on every continent of this globe become part of his work.
Looking at photographs from countries to which he was invited e.g. to a sculpture symposium, they can be divided into two types: Jo is either covered in a thick coat of dust or he is sitting with other artists, talking and discussing. This holds true for Belgium or Dubai, Japan or Turkey – his curiosity is definitely a driving force in his art.
